Plastics vs. Stainless:
The Debate Goes On

The New Jersey section of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers) dedicated two and a half hours of its June conference to an open forum on the subject, and AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) sent Richard Greene, Senior Editor of Chemical Engineering Progress to cover the debate which then ran as a major industry news story in their July issue. Vanton Pump & Equipment Corp is proud of the part it played in organizing the forum and securing the two highly experienced speakers: Gary Dennis a technical service fluoropolymer specialist from Atofina Chemicals, and David O’Donnell, a technical service stainless steel pipe specialist from Rath Manufacturing.

If material selection for fluid handling pumps, piping and other system components requiring corrosion and abrasion resistance, as well as prevention of product contamination, is part of your responsibility, you will want to read a reprint of the article in CEP and review a selection of direct quotations from other articles on the subject selected by our staff from major technical magazines. It is entitled: Plastics vs. Metals For High Purity Fluids.

To get either or both of these items, check the listing and fill out the form below.
